Boiler repair & servicing across the Weald of Kent.

Boiler not firing? Losing pressure? No hot water? Andrew diagnoses and repairs most makes of boiler — usually same week, often within 24–48 hours. Gas Safe registered, honest hourly pricing, Gas Safe certificate issued where applicable.

Common boiler faults Andrew fixes

Most domestic boiler problems fall into a small handful of patterns. Andrew has seen them all over decades on the tools across Kent:

  • No heating or hot water — often a diverter valve, pump, PCB or thermistor issue. Diagnosed on the first visit.
  • Losing pressure — could be a slow leak on the system, a faulty expansion vessel or a failing pressure relief valve.
  • Leaking boiler — auto-air vents, pump seals, heat exchanger cracks; some are simple repairs, some signal replacement.
  • Strange noises (kettling, banging) — usually limescale or sludge build-up. A MagnaCleanse system clean or chemical clean usually solves it.
  • Pilot light keeps going out — thermocouple, gas valve or flue gas issue.
  • Frozen condensate pipe — common in cold snaps. Easy fix, but worth checking the lagging while there.

Annual boiler servicing

An annual service catches small problems before they become breakdowns, and keeps your manufacturer warranty valid. Andrew checks combustion, flue gas analysis, gas pressure, seals and safety controls. You get a written service record. Most services take 45–60 minutes.

How quickly can Andrew come out?

Same-week appointments for most non-emergency boiler issues. For total boiler failure in winter or families with young children, jobs are prioritised — often within 24–48 hours. For urgent gas leaks, contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first, then call Andrew.

Repair or replace?

If you’re paying out year after year on a boiler over 12 years old, replacement usually makes financial sense. Andrew will tell you the honest answer — sometimes a single part puts you right for another five years. See new boiler installation →

Common questions

Boiler repair FAQs.

If your question isn’t here, call Andrew — he’ll talk it through.

i.My boiler is losing pressure — what does that mean?

Pressure loss is usually one of three things: a slow leak somewhere on the system (often hidden under floors or behind radiators), a failing expansion vessel inside the boiler, or a faulty pressure relief valve. Andrew can diagnose all three on the first visit.

ii.How quickly can you come out to a boiler problem?

Most non-emergency boiler issues are booked within the same week, and often within 24–48 hours. Total boiler failure in winter, families with young children, and elderly residents are prioritised.

iii.Do you issue a Gas Safe certificate?

Yes — Gas Safe certificates are issued for all applicable gas work, including annual servicing of compliant appliances.

iv.Should I repair my old boiler or replace it?

If your boiler is over 12–15 years old or you’ve had repeated breakdowns in a season, replacement usually makes financial sense. Sometimes a single part puts you right for another five years. Andrew will tell you the honest answer.
